1.  Types

a. Spiritual — Separation from God in Time; no fellowshfo with Him — Gen. 2:17; ICor. 15:22; Rom. 5:12; 6:23; Prov. 14:12;Ezek. 18:20.

b Physical — Separation of body from soul and spirit — John 11:25; Rom. 8:38; 1 Cor. 15:51ff; 2 Cor. 5:1-8; Phil. 1:21; Job 19:25,26; Psa. 23:4.

c.   Second — Separation from God  in eternity — Heb. 9:27; Rev. 2:11;
20:11-15.

d.   Positional — Identified with Christ in His death — Rom. 6:1-11; Col.
2:20.

e.   Operational — Faith without works; failure to produce — James 2:26.

f.    Temporal — Out of temporal fellowship — Luke 15:24,32; Rom. 8:6;
Eph. 5:14; 1 Tim. 5:6; Jas. 1:15; Rev. 3:1.

g.   Sexual — Incapable of procreating — Rom. 4:17,19; Heb. 11:12.

d.   Human will over divine will — suicide.
