THE ROAD TO RECOVERY

In This day and age, we have so far departed from true Biblical Christianity that most believe it is the norm. Few ever realize that we are a long way from where we should be. In mission circles the departure are even worse from where we should be, without even a glimpse of returning.  Many souls in spite of getting saved are being misled with a gospel that cannot profit them. Today's gospel evolves around man and not around meeting the righteousness of God. Thousands are being “drawn” in by the popular gospel message and false conversions leads to churches that have only a “form of godliness”. We must speak about the issues. I am afraid today's “evangelism train” is heading in the wrong direction. Everything works. The regulative principle is no longer valid or considered! Many do not even know what it is. God’s Work must be done in God’s way, not in man’s way or wisdom.

There are “strange fires” burning on the altars of many evangelistic endeavors and outreaches! Many are being led astray. God is not honored when His ways are being lightly esteemed.

Many think that the “reaction” and “results” they get justifies all. They think it proofs that the methods and “gimmicks” they use doesn’t matter to God, because of the “results” they achieve. But what is the result? Go back after only one year without any attendance to the so called results and you will find no result! At one time lots of commitments and “converts” but no lasting fruit! And what is the reason? Not Godly methods? No it is all pointed to “no follow ups” and “no discipleship” In other words these “results” resulted in nothing because there was no “follow up””. But something born of God lasts forever under every trial and without any follow up or not! It doesn’t need it for it was born of God! We want to please God in all things. Paul’s labor was to make what he did count for eternity. He was mindful that his labor must be accepted by God. He knew that God would not accept every offering and every thing that is done in His Name. “…that I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the gentiles,, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost. “(Rom 15:16)

This is important. We minister, but will it be accepted or be well received by God? Will what we minister in others find favor with God? We must first be MINISTERS of God! We must above everything else be consecrated to God. We must present God to men. We must always minister before the Lord. We are here to represent Him. We serve Him and not man.

Our message and ministry must be His and not what man wants to hear. “That the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable” God does not accept all men's offerings and all people’s worships. Only those that are being “sanctified” by the Holy Spirit! We stand before the Lord to be His servants not mans. (Gal 1:10) Only one work will be accepted by God that which He Himself had approved and ordained!
